LETTERS TO PAUL MORRISSEY (2018)

Regissøren Armand Rovira (1979) er fra Barcelona og Letters to Paul Morrissey er hans første helaftens spillefilm.

Regissøren Saida Benzal er fra Alicante, Spania. Hun har lang fartstid som skuespiller. Hun debuterer som regissør med Letters to Paul Morrissey, hvor hun også spiller vampyr.

5 historier møtes for å hedre den New York-baserte regissøren Paul Morrissey. 5 hovedkarakterer tilstår sine problemer, bekymringer og intimitet til Paul. Hovedkarakterene har forskjellige nasjonaliteter og deler de samme eksistensielle problemene som karakteren fra Morrisseys egne filmer.
Filmen er komponert som korte deler kalt filmbrev, og er skutt i svart/hvitt (16mm).
Paul Morrissey er kjent som regissøren av bl.a. Trash, Flesh og Heat, samarbeid med Warhol og som agent for Velvet Underground.

Spanish directors Armand Rovira and Saida Benzal created a visually stimulating and provocative tribute to the Factory renaissance man, Letters to Paul Morrissey. The film is evocative of the style of Morrissey’s films.
